I strongly believe that having a shopping addiction is a serious condition.i think it is like a drug because every time you go to the mall, you can't resist buying something, even if you don't need it. It's like any other "drugs"(cigarettes, alcohol, cocaine) because you need it all the time and you can't live without it. People with this addiction can't stop because they like doing this.
