August Pullman is a ten-year-old boy who was unlucky enough to be born with a terrible facial deformity. To protect him from people's mischievous looks and words, his parents educate him at home, but one day they decide it's time for Auggie to go to school.

The miracle is an emotional story about courage and kindness, about integration and acceptance, written with sensitivity and humor. "Don't judge by appearances" seems to be the idea from which R.J. Palacio starts, and one of the keys to reading is given by the little prince's fox reply: "You can only see well with the heart. The essential is invisible to the eye."A strong point of the novel would be that although it is Auggie's journey, we get to know him better through the eyes of other people close to him, the author choosing to tell the story from the perspective of seven characters. Honestly, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't help but empathize with Auggie, given that throughout the novel he becomes obsessed with "I know the world is staring at me, but I don't care "; reading between the lines, you realize that Auggie is a normal boy, who wants a normal life in a society where physical appearance has an important role.

R.J. Palacio wrote with sensitivity about a common topic in movies and books, but the language used, the action (although the pace is calm, I don't think there is a chapter that bores the reader) and the characters are believable, well constructed and sometimes even funny.

Cam atat.Succes!
