1.The Coliseum was repaired after the fire since only the upper part was struck , but when the earthquake happened pieces of the coliseum flew everywhere , and people took them to repair their houses and churches

2. The fire only damaged the upper parts of the coliseum because that part was made of wood.

3. The Coliseum is still important today because it became a symbol and was  engraved on the coins.
